Mountain Hotel

Azerbaijan

The hotel complex is located in the centre of the natural beauty of the region, in an extremely unspoilt area and on a very sloping terrain. The main building of the hotel complex, which contains 88 rooms and is directly related to the Spa and Beauty Centre, is located at the highest elevation on the site plan. The main building consists of two basement floors, ground floor and four room floors. The basement floor of the hotel is connected to the basement floor of the spa and multi-purpose hall, and all the kitchen, service units, technical volumes, personnel areas and indoor car parks of the complex are solved on these floors. The most important source of inspiration for the mass design of the main building is the ker-vansaray in this region in the past. The magnificent courtyard of the main building was designed with inspiration from caravanserais.

After entering through a wrought iron door, which is compatible with the building, designed by us and handcrafted by local craftsmen, we are welcomed by the lobby with a view of the central courtyard. When we face the lobby, there are main circulation areas on the east and west wings of the building. The west wing of the building is connected to the bed floors and the east wing provides access to the spa-wellness and multi-purpose hall. The lobby at the entrance, the lounge bar on the west wing, the shops on the east wing and the restaurant on the north wing are connected to each other by the central courtyard. While designing the spaces, in addition to the m² and function relations, importance has been given to the interior architecture to be comfortable areas where guests can spend time with pleasure on this floor. To give an example as a flow, the hotel guest, who can enjoy his/her tea in the lobby area, can enjoy a meal or coffee in the courtyard area in the patisserie logic, eat his/her meal in the restaurant area, spend time comfortably on the terrace in all seasons, and then sip his/her drink in the lounge bar with the view. At the same time, you can read your book or spend time in the lounge area with a little calmness towards the view. In accordance with this flow, a calm, comfortable and peaceful atmosphere is aimed while creating interior concepts

After entering through a wrought iron door designed by us in harmony with the building and handcrafted by local craftsmen, we are welcomed by the lobby with a view of the central courtyard. When we face the lobby, the main circulation areas are located on the east and west wings of the building. The west wing of the building is connected to the bed floors and the east wing provides access to the spa-welness and multi-purpose hall. Opposite the main entrance, there is a mountain silhouette lighting on the reception desk, designed by us by sketching the surrounding texture of the land, and the same lines continue on the lift walls with panel design and lighting. Material preferences were made in favour of natural materials and stone and wood were preferred in the neighbourhood. In the interior, hand workmanship and mesh panels designed by us were used on the facade walls.

Located in the main building of the hotel, the courtyard is the centre of the main building. As an approach in the design of the courtyard; a logic that can remain alive at all hours of the day by characterising the space as the heart of the hotel, bringing together the interior and exterior spaces is aimed. In addition to describing it not only as a location, its central position was evaluated in order for it to be always alive in the circulation line, and it was designed with an infrastructure that can be alive and serve around the clock. It is aimed to protect its connection with nature by giving importance to the use of green in its interior space

The multi-purpose hall, which is connected to the main building of the hotel through a courtyard with a backyard, consists of two basement floors and a ground
floor. The building is designed to accommodate 320people on a single floor at the same time. The building also has a direct entrance connection with the main road and a flamboyant entrance canopy is designed for VIP entrances. In the basement floors of the building, there is an indoor car park, technical volumes, service areas and personnel areas. The roof of the multi-purpose hall is made of steel construction and the interior clear height of the hall is designed as 8.00m. The most important design feature is that it is designed not only for a single special function but also for multiple events such as conferences, invitations and weddings.  All mechanical and electrical infrastructures such as acoustics, sound and light in the design that provides flexibility for both business and collective events have been worked in detail with experts in accordance with this principle

The multi-purpose hall is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate many events of different functions and sizes, and its infrastructure has been prepared in accordance with the principles suitable for the requirements of the organisations. In the building, it is possible to see a pattern on the ceiling formed by the uprights that continue and merge from the carriers. The design includes two axes that can hide and organise the necessary sound, light and equipment lines. Within the framework of acoustic calculations, carpet was preferred as flooring material and perforated wood panels were preferred for wall and ceiling coverings. The design is complemented with natural material preferences in general lines, resulting in a calm and different concept.

While creating the room designs, the first aim is to make the hotel guests feel at home, and for this reason, comfortable and ergonomic spaces have been designed. The material finish preferences in the room were created with natural materials to provide an accommodation experience in nature. The feeling of feeling at home, which we want to create by supporting the functions not with fixed furniture but with more mobile furniture logics, is also strengthened by the furniture fiction. Our priority in the rooms has been to provide comfort, in this sense, importance has been given to the material selection and ergonomics of the products designed. While creating the calmness and colour balance of the room, it has been very important for us that the hotel guests do not get bored with the hotel room during frequent use and always catch the same peace. The furniture in the hotel rooms were specially designed by Aslı Architecture Design Centre for the project, as well as special lighting designs for the project. Project-specific wallpapers were designed to be used in the hotel rooms. Hotel rooms entrance door modules are registered design of Aslı Architecture Design Centre
